Children matter to Jesus, therefore they matter to us!

 

At SHINE, our desire is to create a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn about Jesus on their level. Each Sunday, SHINE meets during our Sunday School hour at 10:00 AM as well as during our 11:00 AM worship service. This allows parents to fully engage in the preaching and teaching of God’s Word without distraction, while their children are being taught biblical truth in a way they can understand and enjoy.

 

Through age-appropriate lessons, songs, and activities, we aim to point every child to Christ and help them grow in their understanding of who He is. Our prayer is simple: that every child in SHINE would come to know Jesus personally and let His light shine brightly in their lives.

 

Matthew 5:16 says, " let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."  We want others to see Jesus in our kids! Matthew also records an interaction Jesus had one time in Matthew 19:13-15. It reads, "One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left."
